Math Blog

From the in-class reading assignment, my group pared our understanding down to this: It is the process over product that is truly significant; the means v. the ends that matters.  While I believe that it is important to take ownership over an answer, I understand that learners need to be able to defend their responses: share their reasonings and strategies--it was not a blind and lucky guess.  It is also difficult to relearn "how" to teach by not providing all the answers.  Students can construct their own knowledge if given an opportunity to do so.
